Arrival, mobility and transport

Airport

You can reach the airport from Bio-Hotel Schani Wienblick in about an hour. Take bus 46A or 46B to Ottakring and change there to subway line U3. Exit the subway at Landstraße station. From there, the S-Bahn or the City Airport Train (CAT) will take you directly to the airport.

The easiest way to plan your route to the airport is with Google Maps, where the data of Vienna’s public transport is integrated.

Bicycles

Would you like to discover the city via bike? In Vienna, you can rent a bike at more than 180 bikesharing stations. You will be charged every 30 minutes at the standard rate of 0,60 € per 30 minutes and a maximum of 14,90 € per 24 hours of rental. Find out more here.

The next bikesharing station is at the Ottakring subway station.

E-charging station

You can charge your electric vehicle in our parking lot. Depending on the size of your car, we charge between 35 and 40 €. If the charging station is currently occupied, there are two more in the immediate vicinity.

The addresses are:

Demuthgasse 27

Heschweg 100

Parking

Are you arriving by car? Depending on availability, you can park your car on our private car park. Unfortunately, we can not reserve parking spaces.

Parking in the street

So called „short-term parking zones” apply throughout Vienna, which means that parking in the streets is only free of charge during certain time periods. On weekdays between 10:00 pm and 9:00 am and on weekends, parking on the street is free of charge. Outside of those time periods, you will need to place a parking ticket behind your windscreen. You can get parking tickets at tobacco shops, gas stations, post offices and at the ticket machines in the subway stations.

If you would like to avoid paying for parking tickets, just park your car in our parking lot and use Vienna’s excellent public transport network.

Public transport

Our hotel is located in the Ottakring district, on the outskirts of Vienna. You can reach the city center by public transport in 30 minutes. There is a bus stop right outside our front door. Buses 46A and 46B will take you to Ottakring, the terminus of the U3 subway line, in just a few minutes. The U3 is THE perfect line to discover the city center, as it takes you from Ottakring directly to Stephansplatz and the center of Vienna.

You can plan your way through the city with Google Maps, where the data of Vienna’s public transport is integrated.

A single ticket costs 2.40 € at the ticket machine, the nearest ticket machine is at Ottakring station. A day ticket is worthwhile for three or more journeys. You can find out which ticket suits your stay in Vienna best here.

By the way, using public transport without a ticket will not pay off. Getting caught without a valid ticket will cost you a fine of 105 €. Our recommendation: download the Wiener Linien App for Android or iOS devices to buy tickets easily and quickly on your smartphone.

Vienna public transport operates almost 20 hours per day. Subways run between 5:00 am and midnight. On weekends and on the nights before holidays, subways run around the clock. The busses 46A and 46B, which will drop you off right in front of our hotel, run all week long until just before one o’ clock in the morning.

Taxi

Should you need to get somewhere quickly, we will be happy to call a taxi for you. Just let our colleagues at the reception know. If you would like to call a taxi yourself, just call the number 40100.
