Good To Know
I only takes 15 minutes to get to Vienna International Airport by the Inter City Europe (ICE) train or Rail Jet (RJ) train. These trains depart from the central station every 30 minutes. Please ask at the reception for the exact connections and prices.
We are also happy to organize an airport transfer service for you, which is cheaper than a taxi – please be sure to let us know the day before your departure.
Rent a bike! Right next to the central station you can rent your two-wheeled holiday companion at the bike rental station “dieRadSTATION”.
In Vienna many different bike routes will get you where you need to go. You can rent a bike at more than 180 bikesharing stations, use it to discover the city and later on return it at one of the stations. The next bikesharing station is located at Vienna central station. You will be charged every 30 minutes at the standard rate of 0,60 € per 30 minutes and a maximum of 14,90 € per 24 hours of rental. If you brought your own bike with you, you will find a parking space for it directly in front of our door.
Everything under one roof! You can park your car in our in-house car park, depending on availability. There are also three charging stations for electric cars in the garage.
Please note that we do not reserve parking spaces. The entrance (height: 2.10 m) is on Alfred-Adler-Straße. Simply take a ticket and pay at reception (3.80 €/h, max. 25 €/day).

So called „short-term parking zones” apply throughout Vienna, which means that parking in the streets is only permitted with a parking permit or parking ticket. It would be best to park your car in our garage and use Vienna’s excellent public transport network.
If you want to park in the street, you will need to place a parking ticket behind your windscreen. You can get parking tickets at tobacco shops, gas stations, post offices and at the ticket machines in the subway stations. Parking is free for the first 15 minutes, 1 hour costs 2,50 €.
Use public transport, protect the climate! In Vienna, public transport is operated by Wiener Linien. Directly in front of the hotel you will find a stop of the tram line D – the perfect line to reach all sights of the city center within a few minutes. Our city map on the wall in front of your bed shows you the exact route. From the central station, the subway U1 takes you directly into the city center to Stephansplatz, Karlsplatz as well as Schwedenplatz and Donauinsel. The best way to plan your route through Vienna is by using Google Maps, where the data of Vienna’s public transport are integrated.
A single ticket costs 2,40 € at the ticket machine, the nearest machine is at the main station. You can also buy your ticket in the tram, but it is more expensive there and you can often only pay with coins. A day ticket is worthwhile for three or more journeys. You can find out which ticket suits your stay in Vienna best here. Attention! A weekly ticket is valid for one calendar week, i.e. from Monday 00:00 am to the following Monday 09:00 am.
By the way, using public transport without a ticket will not pay off. Getting caught without a valid ticket will cost you a fine of 105 €. Our recommendation: download the Wiener Linien App for Android or iOS devices to buy tickets easily and quickly on your smartphone.
Vienna public transport operates almost 20 hours per day. Subways run between 5:00 am and midnight. On weekends and on the nights before holidays, subways run around the clock.
