Vienna's most famous shopping street is Mariahilfer Straße, where all the well-known big and small (fashion) brands are represented. Don’t forget to check out the small alleys around Marihailfer Straße. Here you will find unique boutiques, small shops and nice cafés.
The 1st district around Kärntner Straße, Graben and Kohlmarkt is a great place to stroll around! The first address for glitter and glamour is the so-called golden quarter, where the flagship stores of noble luxury brands such as Louis Vuitton and top-class jewellers have settled.
Most shops are open from 9:00 am to 6:30 pm on weekdays and until 5:00 pm or 6:00 pm on Saturdays. On Sundays and public holidays you can shop at the stores in major railway stations, at the airport and in the museum shops. The nearest supermarket that is also open on Sundays is Interspar Pronto at central station.
