Bookings & Cancellations

  • Which payment methods are accepted?
    Payment methods accepted for overnight stays are AMEX, Apple Pay, Diners, Discover, Klarna, Maestro, Mastercard, UnionPay in Euro and Visa. Charges for services on invoices to be paid at a later date must be discussed with Bio-Hotel Schani Wienblick in advance.

    Payment methods accepted on-site for the consumption of food and drinks or other goods and services provided by Bio-Hotel Schani Wienblick include cash in euros, payments by debit card, Apple Pay, Diners, Discover, Google Pay, JCB, Maestro, Mastercard, UnionPay, Visa und Vpay-

  • Do I need to make a down payment when booking?
    For a reservation with a flexible rate, no deposit is required. The total amount of the booking will be automatically charged to the provided credit card on the day of arrival.

    For a reservation with a non-refundable rate, the total amount will be charged immediately at the time of booking using the payment method you selected beforehand. 

  • How long is the free-of-charge cancellation period?
    When booking a flexible rate, you can cancel or change your booking free-of-charge until 3:00 pm on the day before arrival. Should you cancel after 3:00 pm on the day before arrival, you will be charged the full amount of your stay. Additionally, your right to use the room will become void. Should you want to change your booking and the desired alternative dates are unavailable, you will not be able to change your reservation. Should you have booked a non-refundable rate, the full amount of your reservation will be charged to your credit card. In general, non-refundable reservations cannot be cancelled or changed and your money will not be refunded. If your credit card is denied, Bio-Hotel Schani Wienblick reserves the right to cancel your reservation. This will also void your right to use any room.

  • Does the room rate include taxes?
    Our rates include all mandatory taxes, levies, and fees. Should tax, levy or fee levels change or new, additional taxes, levies and fees be introduced, Bio-Hotel Schani Wienblick reserves the right to adjust its rates appropriately. Our room rates are shown per room per night.

Check-in & check-out

  • What are your check-in and check-out times?
    You can check into your room from 3:00 pm onwards. Should you arrive earlier, you can store your luggage at the hotel and start exploring our wonderful city. Check-out is until 11:30 am.

  • Is there an option for late check-out?
    Unfortunately, a late check-out is not possible with us.

  • Is there an option for a late check-out? 
    Do you want to fully savor your last day? Should this be the case, a late check-out until 1:30 pm is possible. We charge 15 € per hour for late check-outs. 

Reception & Bar

  • Is the reception open 24/7?
    The reception is open between 7:00 am and 10:00 pm from Monday to Saturday and from 8:00 am to 8:00 pm on Sundays. However, you can arrive 24/7. If you are planning to arrive after 10:00 pm, please let us know. We will then prepare everything so that you can check in and get your room key yourself.

  • Is there a bar in the hotel?
    Yes, our bar is the perfect place for delicious drinks following a long day of sightseeing or hiking. Come by whenever you want. From Monday to Saturday, the bar is open between 2:00 pm and 9:30 pm. On Sundays the bar is open between 2:00 pm and 8:00 pm.

  • Are external visitors allowed in your bar? 
    Of course! we are always happy to see new faces at our bar. 

Breakfast

  • When is breakfast?
    Breakfast is available from 6:30 am to 10:00 am on Mondays to Fridays and from 7:30 am to 10:30 am at the weekends and on public holidays.

  • Does breakfast cost extra? 
    You can add breakfast to your booking at 22 € per person. If you are already staying with us and haven’t booked breakfast, you can enjoy it spontaneously for 22 € per person. Just ask our team at the reception.

  • Can external visitors also have breakfast? 
    Of course, our breakfast is available to both hotel guests and external visitors. So, get your friends and family and head over to Bio-Hotel Schani Wienblick – we’ve got a delicious, well-stocked buffet with a wide range of organic delicacies that no one can resist. External guests can enjoy our breakfast buffet for 25 € per person.

Arrival & Mobility

  • How do I get to Bio-Hotel Schani Wienblick? 
    The best way to get to our hotel is to take the bus 46A or 46B. Bot lines leave from the end station of the U3 underground in Ottakring and take you to our front door in just 10 minutes. All further information on how to get to the hotel can be found here

  • How do I get to Bio-Hotel Schani Wienblick from the airport?
    You can reach our hotel from the airport in just under an hour by public transport. From the airport, you can take the City Airport Train (CAT) or the Schnellbahn to the station Landstraße. Bus line No. 1 of the Vienna Airport Lines will also take you directly to a station of the underground line U3. The take U3 to the last stop Ottakring. At Ottakring station, follow the signs for the bus lines 46A and 46B. Both busses will take you to our front door in just 10 minutes.

  • Is there an airport shuttle? 
    Unfortunately there is no airport shuttle from our hotel. If you still need a shuttle to the airport, we will be happy to organize an airport transfer for you. Just let our team at the reception know.

  • How do I get to Bio-Hotel Schani Wienblick from Vienna's Main Station?
    Should you arrive in Vienna by train, take the subway line U1 to the station Stephansplatz. Change to the subway line U3 and get off at the last stop Ottakring. At the station follow the signs for the stops of bus lines 46A and 46B. Both busses will take you directly to our doorstep in 10 minutes.

  • I want to come by car, is there a car park? 
    Yes, depending on availability, you can park your car in our hotel car park. Unfortunately, parking spaces can not be reserved.

    If our car park is occupied, you can of course park your car on the street. Please note that there is a charge for parking on the street on weekdays between 9:00 am and 10:00 pm. Our team at reception will be happy to help you with your parking ticket.

    On weekends, public holidays and during the week between 10:00 pm and 9:00 am, street parking is free.

  • Can I charge my electric car nearby?
    There is an e-charging station in our private parking lot. If the charging station is currently occupied, then there are two e-charging stations in the immediate vicinity. The addresses are:

  • Can I rent a car?
    Should you want to rent a car, you can do it directly at the airport: Sixt Car Hire.

  • Can I store my luggage if I arrive early or want to depart later?
    You can store your luggage with us free of charge, if you arrive early or depart later.

Dogs, Welcome Drink & Co

  • Is my dog allowed to stay in the hotel with me?
    We love animals and, so, your dog is also welcome here! However, there is a charge of an additional 19 € per night for the extra cleaning. Just add your dog to the list when you book via our website.

  • Thirsty on your arrival?
    Book your stay of two or more nights via our website and enjoy a welcome drink at Schani’s Bar!

  • I would like to explore Vienna, but I have never been here before. What sights should I see?

  • I would like to discover Vienna's green spaces, where is the best place to do that?
    Our hotel is surrounded by numerous green areas, which are ideal for walks or hikes. The two recreational areas Steinhofgründe and Ottakringer Wald can be reached in just a few minutes. The city hiking trail 4 is close to our hotel and leads hikers from Dehnepark to Jubiläumswarte, which offers a great view of the city.

    For a day trip into the countryside, the Vienna Woods Biosphere Reserve offers plenty of walking and hiking routes.

  • Dine like a Viennese. What do you recommend?
    Restaurant Starchant is a five minutes’ walk away. Typical Austrian specialties are served here. Address: Johann-Staud-Straße 27

    Plachutta’s Grünspan restaurant is a 15 minutes’ walk away. Traditional Austrian dishes are on the menu here. In summer, the beer garden is an absolute highlight. Address: Ottakringer Straße 266

  • I like wine! What would you recommend?
    Around our hotel you will find many so called “Buschenschänke” – traditional Austrian wine taverns. Here you can get typical Austrian dishes and selected wines from the region.
