Vienna's most famous shopping street is Mariahilfer Straße, where all the well-known big and small (fashion) brands are represented. Don’t forget to check out the small alleys around Marihailfer Straße. Here you will find unique boutiques, small shops and nice cafés.
The 1st district around Kärntner Straße, Graben and Kohlmarkt is a great place to stroll around! The first address for glitter and glamour is the so-called golden quarter, where the flagship stores of noble luxury brands such as Louis Vuitton and top-class jewellers have settled.
Most shops are open from 9:00 am to 7:00 pm on weekdays and until 5:00 pm or 6:00 pm on Saturdays. On Sundays and public holidays you can shop at the stores in major railway stations, at the airport and in the museum shops. The nearest supermarket that is also open on Sunday is located at Westbahnhof railway station, about 25 minutes from the hotel.
The Steinhofgründe and the Ottakringer Wood are ideal for walks or hikes. Both recreational areas can be reached from the hotel in just a few minutes.
There are numerous city hiking trails in and around Vienna that lead to the most beautiful places in the city. The route of the city hiking trail 4 runs near the hotel and takes hikers through Dehnepark via Wilhelminenberg to Jubiläumswarte. The observation deck offers a fantastic view over the entire city.
